Addressing a press conference after a meeting with officials in the district to discuss various activities to be taken up to endear Telugu to the people and make them aware about the significance of the fourth World Telugu Conference, Mr. Buddha Prasad said that door-to-door campaign and rallies would be conducted in villages.

No language had a god, but the Andhra Mahavishnu of Srikakulam in Krishna district was a presiding deity of sort for Telugu. An emperor of South India and great patron of Telugu language even wrote his famous literary masterpiece ‘Amukthamalyada’ at the Andhra Mahavishnu Temple and dedicated it to him. The great poet, Kshetraiah, was also from Krishna district.
Sign boards
Mr. Buddha Prasad said that the Labour Department had asked one month for the changing of all the sign boards of commercial and industrial institutions, but they should strive to complete the task at the earliest. He urged the officials of Krishna district to be ahead of other districts keeping in view the crucial role the people here played in the protection and patronising of Telugu. [The Hindu] The above matter has taken from the Hindu News paper 16.11.2012.
